Tash Wilson | Practice Nurse

Registered Nurse (RN)

Tash is a registered nurse who has undertaken advanced education and training in order to assist in surgery, working directly with your surgeon in the operating theatre. 

With a background as an experienced surgical scrub nurse, she possesses essential skills in instrument handling, tissue handling and wound management, and strongly contributes to the positive and collaborative team culture of the operating theatre.  Having also worked on surgical wards, she has a strong foundation in providing peri-operative care to complex surgical patients, and is highly experienced at managing wounds and anticipating any potential problems.  

Tash positively contributes to improved patient outcomes by providing specialised nursing support and continuity of care, making the whole experience of being a patient at The Specialist Centre and Ballarat Hernia Clinic such a pleasant and wonderful experience, with her excellent communication, patient education and teamwork skills.  

Tash is also involved with preoperative preparations so provides immaculate care, education and support before, during and after your surgery.  She shares the same passion for enhanced recovery after surgery and surgical excellence.
